| Marauders Down Dreamers, 4-2 | Manchester pitcher Ed Gotto did his part in helping his team beat the California Dreamers, 4-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Manchester pitcher Alex Rosier got the win, upping his record to 4-0. Sidd Finch got the loss. The Marauders lead the Heartland League by 10½ games.
Manchester used the timely hitting of Tim Rice to seize the win. The catcher stroked a 2-run single in the top of the 12th inning to put the Marauders on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"Big win," said Gotto.
