Blues Earn 5-4 Win Against Generals | The Memphis Blues took Washington pitcher Mike Laino's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Gateway Field. The final score had Memphis getting past the Generals, 5-4. Laino went 6 innings and allowed 4 runs, striking out 9. Memphis reliever Chris Brade picked up the win, upping his record to 2-5. Tony Roldán was saddled with the loss. The Blues sport a record of 48-88.
Memphis won the game in the bottom of the tenth inning. With two outs and Tony Roldán on the mound for Washington, first baseman Dan Sampler hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Blues fans to their feet.
