| Manchester Moves on to CBL Championship Series | The Manchester Marauders are bound for the CBL Championship Series.
A 6-3 win over the Mahoning Valley Scrappers at Canal Park ended the CBL Divisional Series, 3-1.
"We're not trying to get ahead of ourselves, but it's hard not to get pumped up and excited and think about how this season could end," said Jesús Pérez. "This could be the biggest celebration Manchester has ever seen if we can win the CBL Premier Cup."
The state of the Continental Baseball League championship remains in doubt, but the Marauders certainly appear to be strong contenders.
Pérez was named MVP of the CBL Divisional Series after he posted a .563 batting average, while adding 0 home runs, driving in 1 RBI and scoring 7 runs.
The Manchester Marauders don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Philadelphia Liberty - Austin Bats series. Austin leads the series 2 game to 1. The CBL Championship Series schedule will be announced after the CBL Divisional Series finishes. | | |  | |
