Grizzlies Deal Millers 6-5 Loss | Desi Reamer had a good game, but he could not keep the Minneapolis Millers from falling, 6-5, to the Vancouver Grizzlies at Paul Bunyan Stadium. The Minneapolis third baseman belted 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice in the loss. Marc Tyo came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The left-hander allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 2 innings. His record now stands at 1-0. Chris Elyea got the save, the 1st for him this season.
Vancouver used the timely hitting of Len Sutherlin to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the 13th inning to put the Grizzlies on top, 6-4. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"This kind of game is tough on the heart," said winning manager Aneury Rodriguez.
Vancouver is now 27-32, while Minneapolis is 30-29. | | | | |
