Dreamers Clonk Knights, 5-1 | Jim Javier never let Charlotte get something going. The California right-hander commanded his fastball in pitching the Dreamers to a 5-1 win. Joe Giger, now 1-2, was credited with the win. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 1 and walking 0. The 5th-place Dreamers now have a win-loss record of 34-41.
Had Tim Serviss not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Serviss hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Dreamers.
Serviss called the win "what playing unselfish baseball looks like." | | | | |
