| Charlotte Bats Go Silent in 3-0 Loss | The home crowd had a good time watching the Charlotte Knights and California Dreamers get after it.
The California Dreamers picked up a win at M&P Park, knocking off the Charlotte Knights, 3-0. Starting pitcher Gus Russum played a key role in the triumph. Russum picked up the win for California, going 6 innings. He gave up no runs on 2 hits. He now sports a record of 1-1.
California took a 2-0 lead on Juan Moyeda's 2nd triple of the season. The run-scoring triple, which Moyeda hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Charlotte pitcher Álex Marino visibly frustrated.
Moyeda attributed the win to "everyone pulling their weight."
With the win, California upped its record to 70-66.
