| Surf Dawgs Subdue Charlotte, 6-4 | Behind a fine performance from Al Friedle, the San Diego Surf Dawgs knocked off the Charlotte Knights, 6-4. Friedle went 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Surf Dawgs. San Diego reliever Ernesto del Val got the win, raising his record to 3-1. Daniel Cruz was tagged with the loss. The victory puts San Diego at 54-95.
Chet Harris took Daniel Cruz deep in the bottom of the sixth. His 2-run home run put the Surf Dawgs on top, 5-3. In all, Harris had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 3.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Harris told the San Diego News.
