| Dreamers Prevail, 4-2, Over Vancouver | Vancouver designated hitter Clint Beda had a good game, even if his team did not. The Grizzlies dropped a 4-2 decision to California at M&P Park. Beda went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Ken Heal picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-0. António Fuentes was tagged with the loss. The save went to Tony DeMaio, his 6th this season.
The Dreamers got a big at-bat from third baseman Gary Goodspeed. For the game, Goodspeed went 1 for 3 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the second, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave California a 2-1 lead.
"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Goodspeed told a California Today reporter. "Sometimes we just need to relax."
Vancouver falls to 13-10.
